Event: 9 June 2013

Take part in the Hope Against Cancer Leicestershire SuperTour on Sunday 9 June. The long route ride covers almost a complete circuit of Leicestershire over 112 miles of varied terrain, from the tough hills of the Charnwood Forest in the west to the short sharp climbs of east Leicestershire. Run in aid of the local cancer research charity Hope Against Cancer,

The routes are hilly in places but rolling others, so you will get the chance to ride at a good average speed in a group, giving you the chance to ride for the day with friends and make new aquaintances on the road. For any triathletes in training there is the option of a 5km run for those who want it. There are also 69 and 87 mile options.  The long route can be divided into quarters in terms of difficulty, with the first and third quarters providing the sterner test.

The event benefits from the usual features of chip timing, mechanical support, broom wagon and feed stations.  The event HQ is the sports centre at Nottingham University Sutton Bonington Campus, so changing and showers are available.
