This section provides you will all the general information about the Dartmoor classic event. You should be able to find the answer for most of your questions here - From 'Cancellation & Transfers Policy & Processes' through to 'Directions to the HQ' - Its all here for you.

Route Options

This provides all the information specific to the three route options - entry fees, start times, key features, routes, GPX route downloads, medal standards, and links to book for the route. Routes have now been named - Grande is the old 104 mile route - Medio is the old 64 mile route and Debutante is the brand new women only 54 km route. The Grande & Medio are fully sold out but the Debutante still has places. However, these places will initially only be available to women who live in our catchment area (Teignbridge & Torbay areas) - Later - If any places remain unsold - we will open this up for those outside of our area.

One of the key benefits of our new website is that it is built around a training & coaching platform. You can now purchase 12 week training plans that have been custom designed by Koolstof Sports Coaching, specific for the Dartmoor Classic. Plans have been designed around your personal objectives. You simply choose the plan that fits your goal - From a Bronze Medal in the Debutante through to a Gold Medal in the Grande - There is a training plan specific for you. Once you have a plan you will be able to make use of the training diary features that allow you to upload information from your training sessions and monitor your progress like a professional.

Challenges

We will be setting regular challenges for you to take part in - with some great prizes being offered to those who participate. These challenges have leaderboards so you can monitor your achievements against your fellow Dartmoor Classic participants. To start us off, we have launched the March Mile Muncher (M3) - This is a challenge to cycle a minimum of 300 miles during March. There will be a prize draw open to everyone who completes the challenge. We may also have a few spot prizes up for grabs for things like the most miles on a single ride, or the most miles overall - We will keep you posted of what goodies are on offer.

Groups

We now have a Dartmoor Classic Forum. at the moment there are three group[s - one for each of the three routes - This will allow you to chat with fellow cyclists who are looking forward to completing the same challenge as you. If you have an idea of a different group / forum let us know - If we think it is a good idea we will add it for you.

Photos

You can upload and share all your cycling photos - add photos from past Dartmoor Classic Events etc. We have added an archive of photos from past events - courtesy of SportivePhoto.com

Archives

The archive section contains all the old records and documents from past Dartmoor Classics - from 2007 to 2012.

When you join the site as a member you will be able to fully interact with all of the sites features and you will be able to look up fellow cyclists in your area that you can chat with or get together for some training rides.

We look forward to seeing you on our new website soon :)

Other News

Dartmoor Debutante

We have a new wonen only route - maximum of 200 participants. This route has the benefit of including some fantastic new traffic free cycle routes that will not be open to the public until just before the event. This route has been launched in support of British Cycling Breeze Rides and is a perfect stepping stone between the Breeze Rides for Women and the Dartmoor Classic. The initiative is being supported by Teignbridge & Torbay Councils so we are giving priority to local women from these catchment areas. It is part of the Mid Devon Cycling Clubs commitment to be an all inclusive cycling club, supporting riders of all abilities and especially encouraging women to take up the sport and leisure pursuit of cycling.
