Event: 24 March 2013
Location: Kendal, Cumbria

The 24 March will see the second edition of the Kendal sportive, back with a new identity it’s going to be bigger and better than before. The great spring time classics of Northern France are available to all in the North West and beyond. With sections of Pave (cobbled roads), Mur de Huy steepness climbs and classic cycling roads you could think you are riding towards Roubaix not Ingleton.

A timed stage up the World famous Barbon Hill climb offers a fresh twist to sportive riding for those of a competitive nature. MyTriEvents as usual offer all this at a reasonable price, with friendly cheer and Pies for every finisher (you can keep your frits and Mayonnaise over on the Continent). Choose from the Full Classic at 75 miles or the Semi Classic at 45 miles and hope the weather is British Spring as opposed to Ardennes drizzle.

The events headline sponsor is Wheelbase, established in 1992 they are the UK's largest cycle store and online retailer. Based in the heart of the Lake District with some of the country's best riding right from the store. With over 400 bikes on display across a massive 16,000 sq ft store Wheelbase is well worth the journey.

The events charity partner is Cancer Care, CancerCare is a local charity dedicated to the support of people with cancer, their families and their carers, and those bereaved by cancer. Their services are available to anyone in North Lancashire and South Lakeland, and have been developed in response to the expressed needs of those whose lives are affected by cancer.
