Event: 9 December 2012

David Wring, chairman of Newquay Velo Cycle Club, has arranged a non competitive ride to raise awareness for those injured and killed in the area with local clubs.

This all originated after Wring was approached by Pete Ryan. Ryan is a member of Newquay Velo Cycle Club and a friend of his was sadly involved in a road incident and died whilst riding to work recently. Others have also been injured on the Cornish roads over the past few months.

With this in mind please come and support the Cycle Awareness Ride taking place on 9 December, starting at 8.30am from Penair School, Truro.

The route will take you along the A390 to St Austell town centre, and will see riders coming together to raise awareness of cycling on the roads and help promote better cycling practices.
