After a hugely successful second year, the Wiggle Super Series will be announcing its line-up of events for 2012 on October 24 2011– and it’s looking bigger and better than ever with some exciting new additions.

A total of 22 events are due to take place, both road sportives and MTB events, which are sure to appeal to riders of all ages and abilities. Tickets are available from 3.00pm on the 24th October 2012 will see the sell out three-part Wight Ferry Sportive expand to cope with the huge demand 2011 saw. This unique sportive which will start in the New Forest National Park then involve a ferry trip over to the Isle of Wight, where riders will enjoy a clockwise route around the island before jumping back on board the ferry for the ride back in the New Forest. This event sold out four months before the event in 2011.

Similarly the Wiggle New Forest Spring Sportive and New Forest 100 sportive will expand their capacities as these events sold out well before the events taking place. Martin Barden, of UK Cycling Events, the organiser of the Wiggle Super Series, said: “We’re really excited about the 2012 Wiggle Super Series. This year proved to be a massive success and we saw many riders returning time and again to take part in our events.”

Because the 2011 series saw so many repeat customers and the season tickets were so popular, for 2012 the Super Series Season Pass will continue. There will be two versions: the Sportive Pass and the Mountain Bike Pass. Strictly limited to the first 100 riders to apply, the passes will give riders automatic entry into all events at a massively reduced cost. There is also the Early Bird incentive: book any event more than eight weeks in advance and riders will receive a free High5 Race Faster pack worth £12.

All events in the series include well stocked feed stations, mechanical support, chip timing, well marked courses, massages, bike wash facilities, finishers’ medals and much more. In addition, just before Christmas UK Cycling Events will also be launching its very own Christmas present to riders. The much sought after No Excuses Sportive is making a return in 2012. The ‘No Excuses Sportive’, will be limited to 1,000 riders, none of whom will have to pay penny if they ride the event. The catch? If you sign up and don’t show up, you’ll be charged £25 (with all profits going to charity). The exact date will be announced shortly.
