With pre-race favourite Iain Grant pulling out shortly after halfway, Eddie Addis (Equipe Velo Ecosse) came through to land the Scottish CU 100-mile time trial title with a winning margin of just 28 seconds over the Alness-based course.

Grant (Dooleys Cycles RT), bidding for a treble after winning the 25 and 50-mile titles, went through the halfway mark three minutes quicker than his closest challenger, but climbed off ten miles later as Addis went on to clock 3-54-52 for victory ahead of James Cusick (Glasgow Couriers) and Steve Nutley (Sandy Wallace Cycles), who were the only other riders inside four hours on a fine but breezy morning.
