The IG London Nocturne made cycling history at the London Bike Show over the weekend by staging the UK's first fully indoor criterium race.
To launch the 2013 IG London Nocturne - which takes place at Smithfield Market on 8th June - FACE Partnership constructed a 500m circuit at London's ExCel.
Despite the heavy snow and freezing conditions, the third London Bike Show attracted huge crowds every day, who were treated to some high-quality bike racing on a tight and technical circuit.
Elite mens' and womens' races were held along with four support races, folding bike races, a track bike race, a Penny Farthing race, a media race and an industry race.
Ian Bibby of newly-formed British team Madison Genesis triumphed in the Norglide Elite Criterium just hours after the team's launch on Saturday.
Bibby attacked early on and forged a lead that he never surrendered, beating Pete Hawkins (IG-Sigma Sport) and Paul Oldham (Team Hope Factory Racing) into second and third respectively.
"It's a new team, we wanted to start with a bang, so we were really up for this," Bibby said. "I went hard for the first two laps, I got a gap and thought I'd try and keep it."
Clémence Copie won the women's Elite Criterium on Friday, staging an impressive lone attack of her own. Alice Barnes (23C Orbea) was second and Louise Mahe (Team MuleBarGirl) was third.
Meanwhile there was glory for The Financial Times in the IG City Challenge, who proved the strongest team in Thursday's multi-discipline event. Clifford Chance were second and RPM were third.
Jim McConnel of Madison kicked off the weekend of racing in style with victory in the Industry Race.
In the Media Race which followed the BBC's Colin Murray wore the new British Cycling skinsuit for its first competitive outing.
BBC Radio 5Live recorded an episode of the new cycling show BeSpoke on Thursday including interviews with Lee Dixon and Martyn Ashton (Road Bike Party), which is available in iPlayer for the next four days

Francesco Martucci triumphed in Friday's Track Bike Criterium before Copie's brilliant ride in the women's Elite Criterium.
On Saturday, Keith Henderson won the Folding Bike Race, with Antonius Wubben second and Thomas Schaefer third.
Richard Thoday won the Brooks Penny Farthing Race on Sunday, an IG London Nocturne favourite and one of the highlights of the weekend.
