Road: Gibb leads Imperial Winter Series

Former pro Tony Gibb held his nerve to take victory in the third round of the Imperial Winter Series at Hillingdon.

Gibb won the first race of the series before finishing ninth in the second. With this victory, he is now top of the table with 11 points.

The Metaltek-Scott rider was involved in a bunch finish but managed to steal the march on Vince Halpern (Handsling Racing) and Alan Strang (Dulwich Paragon).

The race had opened up nicely after Connell Yates (InGear) put in an aggressive performance early on. He went on to finish eighth.
