Tom Sutton of We Love Mountains RT took a narrow victory in the Derbyshire round of the EMEG Road Race Series on Sunday.

The Chesterfield rider took first place by the narrowest margin with Eastern CC’s Nick Jepson and Fred Williams Cycles’ Adam Howells pushing him all the way.

The 20-year-old was judged to have just edged his wheel over the finish line after the race culminated in an exciting bunch sprint finish.

The weather held out for the riders as they raced around the relatively flat track that featured only one slight climb.
