CHAMPION two years ago, Roy Holmes (R Whitfield Heating & Plumbing RT) regained the National Masters over-50s crown with victory in Saturday’s 69-mile title race in Surrey.

The 52-year-old, from Wigan, came home ahead of Ralph Carter (London Dynamo) and Paul Caton (Anders Electronics).

Steve Johnson (Slipstream Racing) took the over-55s title, with Don Parry (Team Corley Cycles) and Keith Brooks (GS Vecchi) the respective over-60 and over-65 winners and Natalie Creswick (Mule Bar Girls) leading home the over-30 women.
