Finishing off an impressive team effort, Colin Parry (Wilier/Live2Ride) made it five wins for the year with victory in round four of The Platform Lift Company Series in Hampshire.

The Lydney 34-year-old denied Anders Christensen (Pedal Heaven RT) – winner of the opening two races – a series hat-trick after an hour’s racing on the Thruxton Aerodrome circuit with his own team-mates, Tavis Walker and Toby Eichler in third and fifth positions.

In the supporting race for category 3 and 4 riders, Duncan Lancashire of Behind the Bikeshed was first over the line with North Wilts RC’s Daniel Rowe beating Asfra RT’s Josh Calloway to second.

Leanne Rogers (Ride 24/7) was victorious in the women’s event with Ellie Gilham (VC St Raphael) in second place. The podium was completed by Team Wiggle’s Nikki Wheeler.

Rob Hogg (1st Chard Wheelers) was quickest in the under 16 category and in the under 14 race it was team mate Ryan White who was first home.

Andover Wheelers looked strong in the under 12, under 10 and under 8 categories with their riders, Alex Hall, Luke Spurden and Marshall Thompson taking wins. The girl’s race was won by Finnuda Horner of St Raphael VC.
