Road: All-rounder Newell rules at Hillingdon

All-rounder Jamie Newell (Team Corley Cycles) recorded his first road win of the year in the feature second, third and fourth-category race of Saturday’s meeting at the Hillingdon circuit in West London.

The 35-year-old East & South East regional cyclo-cross champion, from Camberley in Surrey, relegated Francis Cade (VO2 Development Team) to second place for the fourth time this year with Ben Sumner (Beeline Bicycles), a three-time winner this year and back on the road after contesting last weekend’s round of the British Mountain Bike Series, in third place.

Leanne Rogers (Ride 24/7), from Swindon, celebrated her first win in the women’s race.
