Team Royal London 360 Isle of Man's youth turbo training sessions in the Braaid Hall enjoyed the media spotlight in recent weeks celebrating the island’s cycling success.

Team Royal London 360 continues to help young cyclists develop

A few weeks before Christmas journalist Rick Broadbent from The Times newspaper visited the Manx youngsters at their weekly spin, the article appeared in a full two-page colour spread in the 14 December edition of the paper.

Just a few weeks later Jonas Creteur from Belgium's Sports/Voetbalmagazine dropped in on the youngsters as part of his research for an in-depth article on the Isle of Man's part in Mark Cavendish's rise to superstardom, and how the island continues to turn out so many world class cyclists.

Both journalists were very impressed with what they saw, with Jonas especially delighted to see so many girls participating.

In addition to their training activities the Team Royal London youngsters have also been busy fundraising for the club. A bag-packing session in local supermarket Shoprite and a sponsored family fun ride along the disused Douglas to Peel railway track raised more than £2,000, while the club's annual variety concert in Marown school later this month should add another £1,000 or so to the pot.
