Two hundred and forty four competitors were present for the twentieth and final round of Team Royal London 360 Isle of Man's 2011 Youth League with British Cycling's Go Ride North West Regional Development Manager Alex Scoular there to witness the action.

The novices were the first to take to the track and it was Alexander Galloway who eventually took the honours after a close battle with leading girl Sydney Ella Patterson. Third place went to Lisa Martin and Kate Morris beat Matthew Gledhill for fourth. Peter Lloyd held off Aoife Hartley in the dash for sixth and Sophie Keen stayed clear of a six-strong chasing group to claim eighth place. Freddie Griffin and impressive newcomer Rebecca Parker rounded off the top ten.

In the born 2006 and later age group Corey Peters outsprinted Cian Jackson to bag his sixth success of the series. Ivan Sorby was a safe third ahead of Edward Marsh and Charley Convery, while Harry Callin led Alfie Swales, Ryan Edwards, Peter Cope, Corbin Stewart and Lucy Barnett over the line for sixth. The fast finishing Orry Purcell overtook Ethan Bratty, Hollie Palmer and Rio Kelly in the final few metres to grab twelfth.

Niall Colquitt got the better of arch rival Harry Kneen in the battle for the top slot in the born 2005 event. Jacob O'Boyle and Oliver Sykes clipped off the front of the main chasing group to take third and fourth respectively, with James Scott outgunning Chloe Dillon and Frank Kinnish in the gallop for fifth. Tom Corrin beat Daniel Martin to the line for eighth and Charlie Cowin led Harry Boyle in to claim tenth.

Continuing his end of season run of good form, Cameron Dudley notched up his fourth successive win in the born 2004 category, edging out Oliver Harrison in the final sprint for the chequered flag. Joshua Dudley came from behind to snatch third from Billy Kennedy, Daniel Keen, Adam Price and Joshua Leece, while former frontrunner Nathan Slack salvaged eighth ahead of pursuers Callum Crellin, Megan Boardman, Owen Chestnut and Mia Worthington. Kirk Michael's Cameron Hawes pipped Edward Teare for thirteenth and Archie Callaghan did very well to finish fifteenth on his racing debut.

A determined Matthew Black was too strong for breakaway partners Thomas Skillicorn, Zac Walker and Jack Christian in the sprint for the number one spot in the born 2003 race. Jamie Gelling was a solid fifth and Thomas Young put in a late surge to take sixth ahead of Darcy Cain, Jack Collister and Ryan Quirk. The consistent Matthew Cooil completed the top ten.

Corrin Leeming powered away from the field for a comfortable solo victory in the born 2002 class. Nicholas Kissack and Shellan Leeming trailed in for second and third and Jack Whitelegg overcame Tom Kermode and Anna Kelly in the fight for fourth. Jamie McCann slid off on the final corner of the final lap but remounted to finish tenth.

Just six riders lined up for the start of the born 2001 three lapper, with Max Walker outsprinting Adam Scarffe for the win and Cullen Gell beating George Ratcliffe in the scrap for third. Sean Young was fifth and Jodie Fox sixth. In the following born 2000 and earlier grouping Adam Kelly got the better of Alex Cain, Lucas Mudie, Ben Christian and Tara Ferguson in the final push for the line. Lewis Parker had the edge on Ben Cunningham in the tussle for sixth.

Picking up from where he left off, Tosh Teare returned from holiday to score a sixth consecutive win in the under 10 racing bikes. Aaron Lund took the runners-up spot from Tyler Cain, Max Walker, Juan Kneen, Adam Scarffe, Conor Gelling and Will Corkill. Ninth place went to Corey Hill and Emily Bridson was the first girl home in a good tenth place. Eight riders contested the finish of the under 12 racing bikes, with William Draper getting the verdict over Thomas Bostock and the ever improving Liam McCann. The girls' prize went to Eleanor Davies in seventh spot.

With the light fading fast, the under 16's race was reduced to twelve laps. Leon Mazzone got away in the closing stages and stayed clear to the finish for a well deserved maiden win. Jake Kelly narrowly beat Jamie Dudley for second and Matthew Davies took fourth ahead of Josh Knights and Nathan Draper, who was the first B rider (under 14) across the line. Anna Christian, Breeshey Cain and Sophie Black were the top three girls in tenth, thirteenth and fourteenth positions.

A total of 645 competitors took part in this year's series with an average of 285 riders turning out for each of the twenty rounds staged. The final overall positions in the league will be revealed at the prize presentation in the Villa Marina on Sunday 9 October.

Ten year-old Tosh Teare has been voted Team Royal London 360's rider of the month for July. The Manx youngster receives the award for the excellent performances he has been producing this year both on and off the island.

Still a relative newcomer, Tosh has dominated his class in the Royal London 360 Tuesday night youth league at the NSC, securing the overall honours after just twelve of the twenty rounds had been completed. He also picked up six wins in the under 10 racing bike class to finish a very good third overall.

One of the highlights of Tosh's season came at the British National Youth Circuit Race Championships in Bradford on July 24 when he finished a superb third in the under 10's category. Although the race was a non-championship event, the result was a good indication of just how much progress Tosh has made in 2011.

In recognition of his achievements Tosh receives a commemorative trophy and £50 in cash, presented to him by British Cycling's North West Development Manager Alex Scoular at the final round of the league.
