Daniel Young took the spoils on stage two of East London Velo 2 day race at Redbridge Cycle Circuit. The Glendene CC rider took the chequered flag from Steven Griffiths (PCH UK RT) after the pair along with Team Toachin's Luke Ryan made the break with ten laps to go.

The opening fifteen laps were controlled by the sizable bunch with no real escapes allowed to go away,any breaks were reeled back in within half a lap of the 2km circuit. The three riders who made the jump worked well together to keep away and managed to pull and hold a twenty second gap from the bunch.

Small attacks were to be the main feature for the remainder of the day but the three would keep away until two laps to go when Luke Ryan rolled into the pits with a front wheel puncture and with a lap out not allowed the rider could only watch his two escapees ride away into the distance.Young held out to take the short sprint from Griffiths with James Jackson(RG Active RT) taking third spot from the bunch.

 Earlier in the day the three lap time trial was a close run affair with Wojciech Szlachta(Pasta-Montegrappa/Zheroquadro) and Oliver Rossi (PCA Cyclos UNO) recording the same time of 8.25 and James Jackson one second adrift at 8.26 which puts the RG Active rider on joint top spot with Daniel Young which should make for an interesting second day's racing at Saffron Walden.
