2012 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships Day One
Fourcross qualification

Scott Beaumont qualified to the knockout stages of the fourcross on day one of competition at the 2012 mountain bike world championships, but Katy Curd failed to make it to the semifinals, finishing eleventh.

Beaumont made it to the final 32 in ninth, comfortably on a track transformed by heavy rains, leaving some jumps impossible to ride.

The competition finals are broadcast live tomorrow from 1620.
