Event: 8-10 June 2012
Location: Haldon Forest, Devon
Report: Ric Jamieson

Due to some last minute access issues, the Ground Weaver Classic has just been notified that it can no longer be staged at the beautiful setting of Saltram House, Plymouth. With only six weeks before the start of the event, it caused some massive headaches!

We are pleased to announce however that due to our great working relationship with the Forestry Commission at Haldon Forest, Exeter; all three days of racing will now be held at this venue. Haldon offers fantastic facilities, the recently reopened Ridge Cafe and possibly some of the best trails Devon has to offer!

What to expect: Great single track, roots, rocks, more roots, awesome descents and lung bursting climbs. Racing will commence on Friday as planned with Eliminator heats in the afternoon and evening, there’ll be no sunset over the water but there will be some dramatic views and some awesomely fast racing! Stages 2, 3 and 4 also remain unchanged although the new course looks more testing!

Haldon Forest Park is just South of Exeter on the A38 at the end of the M5.

We’re currently looking into camping options; more details to follow so keep watching the website for updates and follow us at @Groundweaver3d on Twitter for up to the minute news.

Don’t forget the team award & support races.
