The third event of the Notts MTB series was organised by the Sherwood Pines Cycles/Co-operative Motor Group at a new for the series but well established MTB event venue. The balmy July weather conditions brought the riders out in force with the biggest field ever for one of these events with 117 riders in total.

The U12 event kicked the evening off and with 25 riders the groups were split into two races with the U8's and U10's riding a ten minute race around the arena area first, followed by the U12's who were joined by two high performing U10's Tim Elsmore, Matlock CC and Kerrigan Robb, Witham Whlrs for an extended race of 20 minutes.

The youths and seniors set off for a longer circuit than previous events in the series incorporating elements of the organising clubs regular MTB TT course and Aprils NPS event course. As usual the Youth riders rode for 30 minutes; their event was won by U14 rider Karl Bailie.

The seniors were led home, after an hour of racing, by a clean sweep of riders from the organising club, with the winner being Anton Wouters. Gabby day was the first woman in sixteenth place overall.

The series ends on 22nd July at another new venue on the longest of all the courses so far in the spectacular setting of Hardwick Hall, courtesy of the National Trust, the event is part of the Hardwick Weekend a full weekend of activities being organised by the Bolsover and District CC.
