Several young riders turned out to try the race course on Brodick Park for the Hinckley Flyers 5 Go-Ride Racing Series. The testing course had a twisty central section then a curve up the natural bank in the park leading downwards to a sweeping curve and faster straight section before a final few turns just before the finish line.
After a warm-up and a few practice laps, a time trial got the afternoon’s action under-way, before a scratch race and a team relay completed the day’s schedule.
Cheered on by parents and grandparents, all our riders achieved good results – some experiencing their first Go-Ride Racing event. The session was finished with some well-earned chocolate cake after which medals were awarded to the winners!
