British Cycling name Great Britain team for Omloop van Strijen

British Cycling has named a team of 12 Olympic Development Programme and Olympic Talent Team Programme athletes to represent the Great Britain Cycling Team at the Omloop van Strijen on 16 March 2013.

Olympic Development Programme riders Hayley Jones, Beth Hayward, Emily Kay, Emily Nelson and Melissa Lowther will compete in the juniors category over 50km (five laps of the course) in the province of South Holland.

In the novices race, also over 50km, Olympic Talent Team Programme athletes Grace Garner, Charlotte Broughton, Elizabeth Holden, Megan Barker, Abigail Dentus, Eleanor Dickinson and Lucy Shaw will be in action.

The one-day event features women’s events in elite, junior and novice categories with racing over a 10km circuit around Strijen and Mookhoek.

The team will also contest the West Flanders Ladies Youth - Provincial Championship in Heule on Sunday 17 March, a submunicipality of the city of Kortrijk in Belgium.
