British Cycling documented the final days of training before the squad left Manchester's National Cycling Centre, with sprint and women's endurance athletes in action.

British Cycling Podium Programme athletes and Olympic gold medal winners Laura Trott and Dani King (far left), are joined by Elinor Barker and Amy Roberts on a training session.

Barker is the latest addition to the three-woman team pursuit lineup. Part of the winning team at the Glasgow world cup in November, this will be her first senior world championship.

It was just two years previous when Laura Trott (left) and Dani King made their senior world championship debuts.

Today, Trott completes her first of several efforts for the afternoon.

Philip Hindes makes a half-lap effort, before retiring to track centre.

He applies the now-famed hotpants alongside the rest of the sprint squad.

British Cycling Olympic Academy athlete Kian Emadi completes the three-man team sprint lineup. On his world championship debut, he stands in for Sir Chris Hoy.

Becky James returns to world championship competition for the third time. After a year out and recovering from injury, she showed form at the British Championships and the Glasgow world cup.
