Sir Chris Hoy moved into the overall lead of the sprint contest on the third evening at the Six Days of Rotterdam at the expense of Great Britain compatriot Jason Kenny.

After winning the team sprint with Kenny on the opening two days of the competition, Hoy paired with Teun Mulder and together they defeated Kenny and Gregory Bauge.

British Cycling Podium Programme rider Hoy usurped Kenny again in the individual sprint, first qualifying faster than the 24-year-old who managed second. Both progressed through to the final where Hoy picked up his second win of the evening.

In the keirin, Hoy and Kenny would see their domination of the competition so far finally ended. Teun Mulder the victor ahead of Hoy then Kenny and Bauge.

The results puts Hoy two points ahead of Kenny with three evenings of the meeting remaining.
