Great Britain track cyclists Sir Chris Hoy and Jason Kenny will compete in the Six Days of Rotterdam meeting in January next year.

The sprint duo will be present at the Rotterdam Ahoy for the 31st edition of the event from the 3-8 January 2013, with last year’s meeting attracting over 30,000 fans.

‘I’m looking forward to competing at the Rotterdam Six Day in January, it’s been a couple of years since I raced there but it was a great experience," Jason Kenny said. "There should be some other big names signing up for it as well, so it will be a great event to be a part of.”

Sir Chris Hoy said: "It’s a great fun event to do - I’ve raced there twice before and really enjoyed it both times. The crowd’s great and there’s always a really good atmosphere. I’m looking forward to it."

Kenny picked up his second and third Olympic gold medals in the individual sprint and team sprint in London whilst Hoy became Great Britain’s most successful Olympian with gold medals in the team sprint and keirin events.

"With these two extremely agile British riders it promises a beautiful spectacle in Ahoy," said event organiser Frank Boele.  "We are working with more big names and expect soon to present a program that is will be unequalled in terms of sport and entertainment."
