With the cyclo cross season just around the corner the Eastern Region have got a perfectly timed commissaire training course running at Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 22 September.

This one day course is free to British Cycling members and covers all aspects of commissaire responsibilities, preparing delegates to take on assistant commissaire roles at cyclo cross races.

The course has recently been re-written and now includes a pre-course online module covering background information and an introduction to the role of the commissaire. This allows much more of the day to be spent on the practical aspects of the commissaire role in pre; during and post event scenarios. The good news is that there is no exam at the end - delegates will be mentored by existing commissaires as they gain experience at events.
