Location: Herne Hill Velodrome, London
Event: 22 October 2011

Now in its third year, Knog Muddy Hell returns to Herne Hill on the earlier date of October 22.

Once again the team from Rollapaluza promote the ground-breaking nocturnal off-road bike fest as part of their commitment to bring new, inclusive and alternative events to the cycling scene in London. Previous years have seen sell-out participation and huge crowds with an atmosphere rarely seen at cross races in the UK and more akin to the huge Belgian events.

For the second year, cycling accessories brand Knog have show their support with a huge £1000 prize list and other goodies. For further details of the event, online entry and reports, results, photos and videos from 2009 and 2010 visit www.muddyhell.cx.

As usual there will be a novice race for first timers, mountain bike riders, single-speeders and even fixed riders and all categories are encouraged to race in fancy dress, as the date has moved away from Halloween this year there is an ‘open' theme.

For riders thinking of travelling for this event, the weekend is a double-header of cross events with the Rapha Super Cross happening the very next day in nearby north London's Alexandra Palace.

British Cycling would like to thank the organising team, officials and everyone else who helped promote this event. Our sport could not exist without the hundreds of people, many of them unpaid volunteers, who put in many hours of hard work running events, activities and clubs.
