Location: East Park Cycle Speedway, Wolverhampton
Event: 28 June 2012

On Thursday evening East Park Wolves ran its junior invitation with riders all under 16 years of age from Midlands clubs East Park, Birmingham, Wednesfield and Bretford.

The racing started at 7.15 pm with Jamie Ball taking the referee position for the night with Roger Dainty in the pits again. Some riders from the original line up were missing due to injury's and school commitments however there were more than enough young riders wanting to fill the gaps.

East Park is a big track for some of the young riders to cope with but that didn't stop them giving 100% in every race. By heat 17 and with Jamie Whetton on a maximum 20 points the winner was sorted, second place was also confirmed with Will Cartwright finishing on 19 points - unable to beat his team mate in heat 17, both these riders will be a great addition to East Parks first team.

Brandon Whetton again was well up with the top scorers finishing on 18 points followed by Harry Everis on 17 points, Lee Kemp also had a good night scoring 16 points.

The meeting was sponsored by Olympic Vehicle Logistics and Chris Burke presented cups for first, second and third and medals for all the other riders Again the meeting went very well and will be run again next year something for all the younger riders to look forward to.
