Astley & Tyldesley Cycle Speedway Club is teaming up with Singletrack Mountain Bike magazine to stage a special mountain bike / cycle speedway fun event. The Singletrack Cycle Speedway Classic takes place this Saturday (11th February) at the Gin Pit race circuit.

Entry is on the day, at £5 per rider, with registrations at 1.30 pm and racing starting at 2 pm. Racing will be split into two categories, to enable both adults and children to compete. All mountain bike riders, non cycle speedway riders and A & T junior club riders will be most welcome to participate in this event. Proceeds from the meeting will go to the Kidney Research UK charity.

The A & T club have cycle speedway bikes available for use by participating riders on the day. The track is located at the Astley & Tyldesley Miners' Welfare Club, Meanley Road, Gin Pit, Tyldesley, Gt. Manchester. M29 7DW.
