Leicester Cycle Speedway staged its presentation evening on Saturday with some thirty plus trophies to distribute keeping special guest Paul Jones of the Leicester Mercury busy.

In a close fought contest Jason Ashford just beat Lukas Nowacki and Lucy Whitehead to scoop the rider of the year award. Surprised but delighted, the reigning vets champion expressed his thanks to everyone at the club who have made his stay so enjoyable.

Lauren Davies took the junior award whilst the Chairman’s Cup went to Angela Doughty for her contribution to the club. Carl Jarvis and his Lions team took the mid week league and the ladies team were also on hand to receive their club champions trophy.
