Defending champions Ipswich made the short journey to Blakenham for their rearranged South East 2 fixture looking to extend their lead at the top of the league.

Manager Tony Stant resting a number of riders from this fixture allowing him to have a look at couple of riders for the future with Tery Gilbert -Rolfe and Fraser Harris having a chance to show what they can do, both lads already part of the under 16's team that competes in the SEY league .

The match itself was a one-sided affair , but credit to Great Blakenham who fielded ten riders in their team and for some their first competitive match helped along with few old heads in the shape of Ray Pyke and Will Page .

The match saw Ipswich record eleven maximum heat wins and only having one heat reversal, the main pairing for the away team that of Daniel Knights and Matthew Hill scoring 34 points between them DK (16) and MH (18) .

Pick of the Blakenham riders was Sam Turland who is showing improvement with every match and deserved more than his eight points. Ipswich with this victory now take unbeaten run to 21 matches which goes back to July 2009.
