Track and Road Riders Wanted for Coaching Sessions

Updated: August 19, 2010

British Cycling Coaching and Education periodically require riders to participate in free coaching sessions as part of our Level 3 Coaching Certificates (Track and Road/Time Trial).

We require:

-- Track riders at Wales National Velodrome, Newport International Sport Village, Velodrome Way, Newport, South Wales, NP19 4PT.
-- Road/Time Trial riders (Triathlon riders also welcome) at Hog Hill Cycle Circuit, Redbridge Cycling Centre, Forest Road, Hainault, Essex, IG63HP.

Those who attend should have a good technical ability and bike handling skills and recent racing experience. The minimum age for riders is 15 years old (riders under 18 years old will need a parental consent form). The sessions will involve activities to develop tactical performance and group riding.

The sessions are free (although places are limited) and generally run from 9am till 1pm. British Cycling provide lunch and refreshments for the riders.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other riders and new developing coaches. You may also pick up some advice on how to improve your performance!

The next free coaching sessions are:

-- Track coaching session at Newport Velodrome on Sunday 5th September 2010
-- Road/Time Trial coaching session at Hog Hill Cycle Circuit on Sunday 12th September 2010
