Mark Grange Wins Coach Of The Year Award In Scarborough

British Cycling Level 3 Coach Mark Grange was the category winner for The Coach of the Year Award 2012 at the Scarborough District Sports Awards Ceremony held last night at the Scarborough Spa.

The award was in recognition of his work with Youth Development in conjunction with Richardson’s Cycle Club. Mark is also the manager for the club’s race team which supports local youth riders to compete at regional and national level.

Mark was up against several nominations from other sports in the area including football and rowing.

Mark is a Level 3 Road and Time Trial Coach, a Level 2 Mountain Bike Coach and works as a casual coach educator for British Cycling.

The Scarborough and District Awards are run annually Scarborough and District Sports Council and sponsored by The Scarborough News and North Yorkshire Sport.

Local rider and Race Team member Mike Thompson also won the under 18 Junior Boys award at the ceremony.
