Following the first edition of a successful Coaches Forum in May, a second day of activities for BMX coaches has been announced and will take place at the National Cycling Centre on Saturday 1 October.

With the aim of developing BMX coaching in the UK, the day will involve seminars, discussions and practical coaching. The programme is open to all Level 2 BMX Coaches, trainee coaches and also those interested in learning more about BMX coaching.

Supported by British Cycling's Coaching and Education department, the second event forms part of a long term strategy to strengthen BMX coaching in the UK for Sam Foakes, the BMX Development Manager at the National Cycling Centre.

He said: "The National Cycling Centre is pleased to announce our second BMX Coaches forum on October 1st.

"Long term, our aim for the forums is to consistently develop coaching standards in UK BMX by offering practical delivery advice and seminars at the Indoor BMX Centre. Anybody who has an interest in helping to move their club coaching forward is most welcome."

At the end of the day there will be a FREE opportunity to use the new indoor BMX track, so if you are interested in attending the forum or future forums, please email: s.foakes@nationalcyclingcentre.com
