British Cycling in association with Birmingham BMX Club are proud to announce that the 2013 British BMX Championships will take place at Perry Park in Birmingham.

Birmingham BMX track is part of the 2012 BMX World Championships legacy, developed by British Cycling and funded by Sport England and Birmingham City Council.

The 2013 British BMX Championships will be hosted on the weekend of the 24 and 25 August. The event will incorporate other activities starting on the Wednesday with balance bike racing sponsored by Strider/Melrose Kids. There will also be additional open sessions for riders on the Wednesday and Thursday as well as spectator and participation events, which are still in the pipeline.

Before official practice on Friday evening the campsite will open on Wednesday morning giving riders and families a full five days of BMX activities.

Birmingham BMX Club was established in 2009, hosting a round of the UEC International series in 2011 and two rounds of the British BMX Series in 2012.
