Ever fancied having a go at officiating at a BMX event? If so now is the perfect time with the recent opening of the UK’s first permanent indoor track!

The course is being run at the National Cycling Centre on Sunday 11 December from 10am-5pm. The course is free of charge to attend and all interested candidates are welcome to apply. On the course you will learn about the rules and regulations governing the sport, together with information about how the race team functions at an event and the various roles of a BMX Commissaire.

You will be sent a pre-course test to complete and bring on the day. On completion of the course you will be able to attend events as an Assistant Commissaire and be able to progress on to become a Regional Commissaire through completing a logbook and gaining experience in each of the Commissaire roles.

For further details on the course or to book a place contact North West Regional Events Officer Jenny Gretton on jennygretton@britishcycling.org.uk or 07930 229993.
