Nottingham Outlaws BMX Club, based in Bulwell, is celebrating after receiving a £500 donation from the MARS Refuel Drink Fund.

The club has 160 members, six of whom compete at international level, whilst 30 other members compete at national level. The number of people involved in the sport of BMX in the UK is growing by 20% year on year, and likewise numbers at the Nottingham Outlaws have soared in recent months.

Phil Gray-Blest, Chairman and Head Coach at the club, said: "We're an ambitious club and this funding is vital for our stability and growth.

"With this donation from the MARS Refuel Drink Fund we can buy more equipment, including helmets and bikes, to cope with the increasing number of members at the club. The funding is a great boost as it means the club can grow, play and compete for longer."

The MARS Refuel Drink Fund is taking applications until September 30 2011, and has £5,000 to donate each month. Applications can be made online at www.marsrefuel.com.
