This event was run under sweltering conditions as nearly 400 riders turned out to ride the combined Midlands Series & Inter-regional. The event was also a warm up for the track ahead of the forthcoming National Series Event in three week's time.

Redditch Premiers BMX Club worked hard to ensure all went according to plan and made sure they'd put everything in place for the first National Series to be run in the West Midlands. British Cycling Officials were on hand to give guidance to also ensure the forthcoming event runs smoothly.
