British Cycling has confirmed the Great Britain Cycling Team programme riders who will line up to race at the third round of the Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup series in Milton, Canada from 1-3 December 2017.

Olympic champion Katie Archibald, who won two gold medals and one silver at the world cup in Manchester over the weekend, will be back in action along with Senior Academy rider Ellie Dickinson in the women’s endurance events. Ollie Wood, winner of the team pursuit gold medal in Manchester, will compete in the men’s endurance events along with Chris Latham and Mark Stewart.

Olympic gold medallists Callum Skinner, kilo bronze medallist in Manchester, along with Phil Hindes plus Olympic bronze medallist Katy Marchant will represent Great Britain in the sprint events alongside Jack Carlin, Ryan Owens, Joe Truman and Sophie Capewell.

Head coach Iain Dyer said: “Overall, I was pleased with how we performed in Manchester, it feels like momentum is building as we get further into the season and I’ll be looking to see that carry on into the coming rounds of the world cup series.

“Katie Archibald continues with her impressive run of results, and it’s great to see the women’s endurance squad go from strength to strength each competition to deliver across the events.

“I was happy to see the men’s team pursuit squad win gold in Manchester, a medal I knew they were capable of delivering, and equally it was pleasing to see Callum back on the podium having overcome a back injury sustained last month.

“At this stage of the Olympic cycle, performances are as important as results and we’ve seen plenty of promising signs within the squad. Canada is the final major competition on the calendar for the squad this year and it’s another opportunity to qualify more points for the World Championships in February next year.”

Ollie Wood, winner of the gold medal in the team pursuit at the Manchester round of the world cup series, said: “I enjoyed racing in Manchester over the weekend, I felt like I was in good form going into the event and the team pursuit victory proved that. I’m looking forward to competing at the next round of the world cup and targeting the individual events.”
