Do you want to support British Cycling in developing the future of our sport?

British Cycling's commissions provide expert help, support and advice to the organisation's board and senior management team.

There are seven commissions which reflect the sport’s specific disciplines, which are BMX, road, track, cycle speedway, MTB endurance, Gravity (downhill and 4X) and cyclo-cross.

Other commissions include:

Commissaires - dedicated to officials development

Technical - responsible for verification of sporting rules and regulations

Sport ethics - ethics and compliance within the sport

If you feel you have the necessary experience and knowledge to contribute positively to the development of the sport and would like to be considered for a commission role in the future, please download and complete the application form and return to commissions@britishcycling.org.uk

Commissions typically meet three to four times a year in Manchester during the working week and will be expected to contribute to debates and recommendations by e-mail from time to time.

British Cycling members are appointed by the board to commissions on an annual basis. The deadline for applications for the 2018 season is the end of November 2017.
