Great Britain Cycling Team won an impressive two bronze medals to open their account at the 2017/18 Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Poland on Saturday.
Jack Carlin, Ryan Owens and Joe Truman set a personal best as a trio with a fantastic performance to take team sprint bronze against Germany in Pruszkow.

They stopped the clock in 43.192 - 0.304 seconds quicker than their opponents having overcome Beat Cycling Club by just 0.005 seconds in the first round.
Netherlands won gold ahead of France who took silver.
“Probably one of the team sprints that means the most to us so far! Bronze medal but more importantly a big PB for the team and a new PB for me also! On to Manchester next week,” Carlin wrote on Instagram.
Pursuit joy
Neah Evans, Manon Lloyd, Emily Nelson and Emily Kay then added a second medal in the team pursuit with a time of 4:22.230 to beat Germany at the BGZ Arena.
The quartet had narrowly missed out on the gold-medal final, beaten in round one by Canada by 0.44 seconds after 16 laps - Britain setting a time of 4:23.442.
European champions Italy won gold ahead of Canada.

Close for Barker
Elinor Barker was denied a bronze in the omnium in the final sprint of the points race.
Olympic champion Barker, who won two medals at the European championships, was sat in third with one sprint remaining.
But Denmark’s Amalie Dideriksen crossed the line first for 10 points for a total of 116 to Barker’s 111.
After 16th in the opening scratch race, Barker had put herself back in medal contention with victory in the tempo race and second in the elimination.

Kirsten Wild took gold with Jennifer Valente second.
Joe Holt was 14th in the scratch race final after earlier failing to finish the Madison race with Matt Bostock.
Sprint
Katy Marchant was knocked out in the sprint 1/8 finals by Laurine van Riessen in a thrilling duel which saw the Dutch rider triumph by just 0.010 seconds.
Marchant, 24, had qualified in 10th with a time of 11.066 seconds before defeating New Zealand’s Emma Cumming in the 1/16 finals.
Jack Carlin took on keirin duties in addition to his man-one role in the team sprint, but exited in round one having gone into the repechages.
The opening Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup of the season concludes on Sunday.
