Eileen Roe and Chris Lawless sprinted to the women’s and men's titles respectively at the British Cycling National Circuit Race Championships in Birmingham.
Lares-Waowdeals Women Cycling Team rider Roe crossed the line ahead of Drop Cycling’s Alice Barnes and defending champion Nicola Juniper.
The title is Roe’s second after the Scot won in 2014.
Twenty-year-old Lawless led home a JLT Condor one-two-three ahead of Russ Downing and Jon Mould.

“It’s really special,” Roe said.
“It was a really difficult race to read. There were a lot of teams with numbers so I thought it would be an aggressive race. Being a single rider from a team you are outnumbered when it comes to people jumping to the front.

“Claire Rose seemed to sit on the front towards the end and picked the pace up so no one could jump away, so it was obvious it was coming to a bunch sprint.”
Lawless said: “It’s a great feeling having a stripy jumper.”
“There’s no feeling like it, pulling it on. This is only my second senior national title - the first one was in the team pursuit. This is my first individual senior national title, I’m really happy to win it.

“A lot of us (at JLT Condor) have free reign because every single one of the riders in our team could have won. But we did say it if was coming down to a sprint we would go for me.”
Women's circuit race
Podium Ambition’s Claire Rose had delivered a remarkable turn on the front in the final 15 minutes of the race.
Rose’s efforts had ensured no attack could develop and set up the bunch sprint.
And Roe, with no teammates and the likes of Grace Garner and Alice Barnes to contest with, timed her effort perfectly to take the British champion’s jersey.
Men's circuit race
Lawless triumphed as JLT Condor took a clean sweep of the podium. The 'men in black' had four riders at the front of the race in the final lap and driven forward by Tom Moses, it was left for Lawless, Mould and Downing to fight for the jersey.
Madison Genesis’ Tobyn Horton and Pedal Heaven’s Harry Tanfield challenged but could not make it on to the podium.

JLT Condor had been involved in every attack in the race from the start with Lawless, Mould, Alistair Slater and Graham Briggs all active.
But after repeated breaks had failed the race was together, albeit stretched, heading into the final lap of the 1.1km circuit.
