Emily Kay produced a fantastic finish to the European championships with a bronze medal in the under-23 women’s omnium.
The 20-year-old fought back from sixth place after five events to secure a terrific third in the six-event competition.
That medal means Great Britain Cycling Team finish on 19 medals across the week - the highest number of medals in the competition of any nation.
Sitting in third place overnight, Kay had her eye on the podium, but slipped down the standings after the opening event of the final day of competition.
A time of 38.163 in the 500m time trial put her in 11th for the event and down to sixth overall with two events remaining.
Next up was the flying lap – Kay produced the sixth best time in 15.068 to go into the points race in sixth, 14 points behind third place and 32 off the gold.
Kay scored sprint points in six of the 10 sprints in the points race but crucially was one of six riders to take a lap on the rest of the field, scoring her 20 points and the bronze medal. Gold went to Lotte Kopecky of Belgium.

In the under-23 men’s keirin, Joe Truman had to settle for the minor final after finishing sixth in his semi-final heat.
The young British rider was disappointed with that result, having ridden well to win his first heat.

Truman was first across the line in the minor final to take seventh place, a solid finish to a strong week following gold in the team sprint and bronze in the time trial.
In the Madison, the British pair of Jon Dibben and Ollie Wood scored 11 points, the second highest in the field, but finished a lap down on five other teams and had to settle for seventh.
For the junior riders in the Great Britain Cycling Team, next up is the UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships in Switzerland, taking place from 20-24 July.
