Lora Turnham and Corrine Hall completed an amazing turnaround to take time-trial victory for Great Britain at round two of the UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup in Switzerland.
After finishing fourth in the opening round a week previous, Turnham and Hall returned to the top step of the podium with a narrow victory ahead of the Polish team.
The 2013 time-trial world champions were down in third at the halfway point of the flat 28.3 kilometre test, but overturned a 14-second deficit to win by 1.5 seconds in a time of 37 minutes 34 seconds.

Karen Darke added a second medal to the teams tally when she took silver in the H3 time-trial, 15 seconds behind Polish winner Renata Kaluza.
Stephen Bate and Adam Duggleby delivered another top five finish in the men’s tandem time-trial as they continued their consistent start to the world cup season, while Simon Price took sixth place in the men’s C2 race. Jon Gildea (C5) and Jaco Van Gass (C4) also recorded top ten finishes.
After the racing, coach Paul Dring gave his assessment of the competition so far.
“It was great to see Corrine and Lora getting back to the levels we know that they’re capable of. I think they’ve still got a bit of work to do ahead of the world championships but that will be great for their confidence and represents a huge turnaround from last week.
“Karen executed a great ride," Dring continued, moving to Darke's silver medal.
"We analysed it afterwards and we don’t think there is anything else she could have done, there was just another rider who was better on the day and found 15 seconds on Karen. We know that Karen will always be competitive on a course like that one and she produced a solid performance.
“I think the conditions were much more suited to our riders this week. Someone like Simon Price is showing great improvements.
"Although he still finished down in 6th he is 30 seconds closer to the podium than he was this time last year, which is a gap that can easily be made up depending on conditions and what the course is like.
“Jaco (Van Gass) and Jon (Gildea) both still have room to improve, but it’s still early days for those guys.
“Adam and Steve had another solid ride but I think their result shows that we still have a bit of work to do there.
“We’ll draw a line under the time-trials now and focus on the road races for the next couple of days.”
Competition continues Monday and Tuesday with open road races on a hilly course for all categories.
