Adrian Lawrence (Bglobal) followed up his second place from round one to finish a well deserved first in the second round of the Midweek Madness in Leverhulme Park in Bolton.

With a good sized field taking the start line, it was a mad dash for the first corner and into the first piece of twisting singletrack. On a shorter and flatter course than two weeks ago, Adrian Lawrence (Bglobal) took an early lead at the end of the first lap with Chris Lever (Cookson Cycles) hanging grimply onto his wheel. Behind them riders were strung out across the course, with Jason Tonge (Lancashire Road Club) chasing hard for third place.

By lap 2, Lawrence had pulled away from Lever, despite vocal support from the sidelines, and was able to extend his lead every lap until he had a comfortable cushion of over 30 seconds over the second placed rider. He crossed the line 55 minutes later .with his arms aloft to take a well deserved win.
