TT: Goldsworthy wins Gordon Arms Mountain TT

Riders gathered at the Gordon Arms Hotel to race in a mountain time trail in Selkirk and Silas Goldsworthy walked away with victory.

The 25-year-old Edinburgh rider powered around the course in just 51.12, eleven seconds quicker than Sandy Wallace Cycles team mate Alan Thomson. Simon Dale of Nottingham Clarion completed the podium, recording a time of 53.14.

Katherine Wren of Stirling Bikes finished first out of the women and Jim Cusick of Glasgow Couriers walked away with the vet title. The 47-year-old Glaswegian completed the course in 53.18.

Fastest senior was Stephen Couper (Glasgow United CC) and Tom Arnstein raced to first place in the juniors in 54.04. Stuart Balfour was top of the youths with a time of 55.55 and Gala won the team event with a combined time of 2:50.18.
