British Cycling is the governing body for cycling in the UK, with responsibility for the Great Britain Cycling Team, national and regional events, participation and getting young people riding bikes.
British Cycling is primarily funded by investment from Sport England and UK Sport. Other income comes from our partnerships with Sky and other sponsors as well as revenue from our growing membership.
British Cycling currently has over 100,000 members, with a host of benefits available to those who join.
More people are riding their bikes in the UK than ever before with 2.1 million riding their bike at least once a week, and thousands of opportunities for people to get involved.
The most successful cycling team of the last decade, the Great Britain Cycling Team has topped the medal tables at the Beijing and London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
In February 2013, British Cycling launched #ChooseCycling, the governing body’s vision of how Britain can become a true cycling nation.
