The British Cycling Federation invites tenders from interested parties for the future operation and maintenance of an international standard indoor BMX Freestyle Park, providing a talent development and performance training facility and proactively encouraging increased participation in BMX Freestyle, in line with our aspirations to significantly increase awareness of and participation in BMX Freestyle Park.

The contract is intended to commence on 26th July 2021 and be for a period of eight years, with a break clause at four years.

With the assistance of the Places to Ride Fund, in conjunction with Sport England and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), British Cycling has recently procured an international standard BMX Freestyle Park as part of a long-term commitment to developing this emerging discipline.

Having tendered the build of the Freestyle Park and modular ramps, we wish to partner with an expert in facility operation to maximise the use of the Park and proactively raise awareness, participation and talent development opportunities in BMX Freestyle Park.

We are in the process of identifying a suitable indoor location to house the Freestyle Park, and depending on the venue chosen, the opportunity also exists to develop national and international events to showcase BMX Freestyle Park, including a ‘home’ for British Cycling’s national championships in the discipline.

The deadline for registering expressions of interest is 5th April but early communication is encouraged to ensure interested parties can participate in clarification meetings.
