British Cycling has ventured into a new partnership with Thrifty Car and Van Rental, one of the leading rental companies in the UK.
In 1999 Nigel Spokes assumed a controlling interest in the company. Remaining true to its roots the business still remains family-owned to this day with the current board comprising Roger Hancock (Chairman), Martin Wilson (Managing Director) and Chris Hume (Finance Director). Throughout its 40+ year history Scot Group has continued a strategic expansion plan and today operates from 110 locations nationwide.
As a company one of their core values is to be a socially responsible employer. Thrifty facilitates a number of organisations by supplying them with vehicles to ensure they have the transportation facilities they need to prosper.
As a family business the people continue to remain at the heart of everything they do, which is something shared with British Cycling. Thrifty is at the start line of the race for our cyclists, allowing them to get where they need to be to thrive as athletes.
