Learn to Race at Newport Velodrome!

 

Welsh Cycling, in conjunction with the Talent Team, are promoting an exciting 'Learn to Race' session at Wales National Velodrome.

 

All track competent young riders between 10 and 16yrs are invited to attend the session on Wednesday evening, 27th February, to be coached by ex-International rider Andrew Russell.

 

Riders will go through a number of race drills and activities in a pressure free, non-competitive environment. The session is an ideal opportunity for young riders wishing to move from their club activities to Track racing.

 

The session commences at 6.00pm prompt, and riders should be capable of riding the blue line in a group for a number of successive laps. It will finish at 8.00pm. If you are unsure of your ability to attend, please check with your club coach or by contacting Ian Jenkins on 07968 801 628.

 

Welsh Cycling would also like to invite any willing club coaches to attend and help coach the participants in what promises to be an enjoyable and different session.
