Get on track for the Autumn term

 

 

Sessions for youngsters at Newport Velodrome start 24th September

Are you a beginner aged 8-14 years? Then why not try the Future Track course...

 

What?

A 5 week course to introduce youngsters to riding on the velodrome. Learn the skills and techniques needed to ride safely on the track, and ride confidently with others.  Riders will be assessed over a number of key skills they have developed during the course and a certificate will be awarded upon completion.  Riders will then be able to progress to further track cycling sessions at the velodrome.

When?

Mondays or Tuesdays 4.30 6.00 pm for 5 weeks.  Next Course starts: Monday 24th September or Tuesday 25th September, 2007.  

Where?

Wales National Velodrome, Newport International Sports Village.

Who?

For boys and girls, 8 to 14 yrs, with little or no track riding experience. (must be able to ride a bike).

How to book?

Places are limited are each course. Please complete and return the completed Future Track Booking Form enclosing full payment to reserve your place.

Cost?

5 week course £10.00, to include all equipment bike, helmet, gloves, and Introduction to Track Cycling Certificate. (Cheques payable to Newport City Council)
