Forest of Dean Fun Kids MTB Race - Autumn Series
Introducing a NEW SERIES of 3 Mtb races for U16's in September 2007
The Forest of Dean is an outstanding area with exceptional potential for MTB. There are many thrilling local single-track trails, the established FoDCA waymarked route and RDFCC Enduro course. The series will offer quality, fun & challenging racing for U8, U10, U12, U14 & U16 age categories.
Dates:
Round 1: Saturday 8th September
Round 2: Saturday 15th September
Round 3: Sunday 23rd September
Course, 1 Tough climb, a fast swooping descent and flowing single-track that weaves through broad-leaved woodland. These are multi-lap events on a closed off-road course of approx 1.5km U14-U16, 1K U12-U10 & U8 based in the 'SallowVallets Area' of Cannop Valley close to Pedalabikeaway Cycle Centre. The course I hope will be an enjoyable and a testing experience for all abilities from fun first timers to die-hard racers. It will be fast, fun and of course traffic free.
Race day schedule.
13.00. Registration opens.
13:00. Course opens for practice.
13.30. Registration closes for Race A.
14:00. Race A. U12 U10.
14.00. Registration closes for Race B.
14:30. Race B. U14 & U16, Staggered Start.
Followed by U8 race and Prize presentation for All Races.
Location: Pedalabikeaway Cycle Centre is Signposted from all local roads. Parking is along the fire road in overflow parking area and is Pay and Display at £3.00 per car, machine by cycle centre
Pedalabikeaway offers a variety of services hot and cold beverages and food available to purchase, bike shop wash etc.
